The trauma of our times—the massive displacements and losses experienced by countless people, whether through natural disasters, wars, or chronic poverty; the political polarizations that blind us to each other’s humanity; and the unjust social structures that oppress peoples and communities at the margins of established power—demands that we revisit the meaning and practice of forgiveness and its role in personal and communal empowerment. To those of us living in the United States, the year 2020 will be of particular importance as we navigate our national election process.
While the Center for Heart-Mind Coherence had originally scheduled the event for 2019 as part of its commitment to offering conferences biennially, it became evident that there is a need to further develop our list of presenters in order to include as many diverse voices as possible. Delaying the event to October 2020 will allow us to double our efforts in creating safe spaces for uniting.
Caroline Eick, co-founder of the Center for Heart-Mind Coherence and Jessica and Jon-Eric Steinbomer, co-founders of Relational Healing Arts, share a passion for body-centered, heart-centered, and inter-relational approaches to exploring the subconscious, releasing its blocked energies, and empowering its wisdom. They share a passion for participating in the awakening and quickening of intuitive intelligence.
The intention of the 2020 “Conversations on Forgiveness and Emotions” is to offer practitioners, professionals, and all people interested in nurturing harmonious, just and meaningful relationships, the opportunity to explore, experience and exchange effective and transformative approaches to reconciliation—both from intra-psychic and communal perspectives. Our desire is to revisit the meanings and beliefs we assign to forgiveness, in light of our present historical context.

This is a conference for everyone!
The purpose of the biennial conferences presented by the Center for Heart-Mind Coherence is to facilitate conversations and exchanges of knowledge from a wide range of perspectives regarding the experience of emotions and the role they play in physical, mental, spiritual, and relational well-being, as well as in creative expression.
Practitioners across helping professions and researchers and scholars across disciplines, as well as entertainers and artists are invited to share their understandings of and their work in the field of emotions.
At the Center, we believe that the western world is witnessing an accelerated evolution in its understanding, experiences, and calibration of emotional energies. Moreover, there is an unprecedented integration of knowledge bridging ancient practices and wisdom from East and West and the more recent scientific tradition. We are eager to participate in creating opportunities and spaces for the integration of knowledge and experience in an area we also believe is the next human frontier.
